Shatranj Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on the Middle East, announced the addition of Jeff Singer to its advisory board. Singer is a seasoned CEO and veteran of the Middle East financial ecosystem, having served as Group CEO at YBA Kanoo, one of the largest family companies in the Gulf region, and as CEO at both Nasdaq Dubai and Dubai International Financial Center (the DIFC).
In his new role, Singer will provide strategic guidance to Shatranj Capital Partners on its investments in the food and beverage (F&B) sector. He will also help the firm to identify and evaluate new investment opportunities.
Singer said of his appointment: “Pleased to serve on the Shatranj Capital Partners advisory board. This is a team dedicated to making positive East/West connections via F&B brands and franchises.”
In addition to his experience in the Middle East financial markets, Singer also has extensive technology and entrepreneurial experience. He worked at the Nasdaq Stock Exchange and served as Senior Vice President and President of the International Division. He also has experience working at SAP and technology startups.
Singer holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS in International Finance from Brigham Young University.
